Getting Here
Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) is the main international gateway to Sabah. The nearest airport to Semporna is Tawau Airport (TWU), with regular domestic flights to and from Kota Kinabalu and Kuala Lumpur. From Tawau Airport, it’s about a 1-hour road journey (83 km) to Semporna.
Seaventures Dive Rig is located 26 km from Semporna Port and close to Mabul Island. Standard transfers are scheduled for 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM, starting with a land transfer from Tawau Airport to Semporna, followed by a boat transfer at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM. For departures, the boat leaves at 2:00 PM from the rig back to Semporna. If your travel plans don’t align with these schedules, no worries—alternative transfers can be arranged. Depending on sea conditions, the boat ride to the rig may take up to one hour.
Your Arrival Experience
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with a rig tour and a comprehensive safety briefing. This one-of-a-kind facility functions as a full-board dive resort with 40 comfortable guestrooms, each featuring a private bathroom.
Dining & Leisure
You’ll enjoy delicious and healthy meals prepared daily in our on-site kitchen, plus all-day tea, coffee, and snacks in our spacious communal dining area. In the evening, unwind at our island bar on the main deck with music and occasional live band performances.
The rig features multiple recreational spaces, including a sundeck with panoramic views of Mabul Island and surrounding water villages. At night, gaze at the Milky Way and enjoy the starlit sky—an unforgettable island experience.
When you’re not diving, relax in the games room with pool or table tennis, enjoy a movie from our DVD collection, or treat yourself to a massage. We also have a multipurpose air-conditioned room for those who need to catch up on work.

Feeling adventurous? Ask our crew to arrange a supervised 8-meter Rig Jump from our lift. We also have a fun rig swing that lets you swing right into the sea—perfect for thrill-seekers and photo lovers!
