100 Days Clean Up – Day 93 Update
Another week is over and today, 3rd March, we start our last week of our 100 Days of Clean Up Project. 93 days have flown by so fast and the team is excited to bring the project to an end.
The last seven days were the week of our Diveteam. We managed to remove another 72.9kg of debris from the house reef and have set the mark with this up to 823.7kg in total.
DMs and Instructors went to find the last uncleaned patches under the Rig and we welcomed back an old DM of ours. She got directly into the trash business and helped not only with the dives but also with the surveys. The most funny object we found was a make-up sponge – no idea who had to redo their face and lost it accidentally :D
We had two really heavy days: day 87 and day 91, each of them slightly over 20kg. Most of it was again the construction material, paired with household things like floor mats and a lots of glass bottles. Our helpful guests came from Beijing and the British Island last week.
They brought up quite a lot of plastics, which motivated us to search for the hidden nests even more.
There is one more week to go … let’s see what is possible. Maybe even the 900kg?
